Hey OP, it looks like you are looking for information on cloning your drive or migrating from one drive to another. I need easy to follow instructions on how I can move my current OS drive (be it C or the F reserve or whatever) to the new SSD (which has not yet been installed, I want to understand how to do this first).Ĭan someone possibly take the time to break this down for me in a way my brain can understand? I'm experienced in software and programming, I have experience putting PCs together, but I haven't messed with stuff like this before and I'm very nervous. I don't have any sort of cloud storage I can feasibly use since any storage I do have is full of my work backups (I'm a game dev). I don't have an external hard drive nor any means to get one currently. I have a 14GB flash drive that is formatted to NFTS (or whatever it's called). I have two HDD, both with tons of space on them still. Disc C is the main one, it's 111GB and currently only has 9.75GB free. The current SSD is partitioned (I think) and has a 'system reserve (F:)' that I don't touch on my pc. I would like to move it to a new SSD that I just purchased, which is 1TB. I have Windows 10 on an SSD, but it's running out of space rapidly. There are TONS of websites that go over this, but they all rely on something I don't have: an external hard drive.
